This moved the heart of John Ongman, president of the Mission, and the missionary Erik Jansson was sent, who disembarked in Porto Alegre on June 15, 1912 and remained there for some time. On September 12th of that same year, he arrived at Vila Guarani, being greeted by a large number of Swedish immigrants.
